ASK MARY ANN - 11/16/09

Hi Mary Ann,

It is coming up on both my friend and my brother’s anniversary of their death.

I have a question to ask.  My friend passed Nov. 18, 2001 from cancer.  Before her death we often spoke of our brothers — her brother had cancer and so did mine.

At any rate, after she passed away my brother had a return of his cancer.  Near the end he was suffering a lot — could not eat, lost so much weight. I visited him about 2 evenings before he passed.  After that visit I went home and spoke out loud to my friend who had passed asking her to help him — pass over too.  I did not want to see him suffer any more.  He passed on Nov. 18, 2003 — the same date she did.  Could she have heard me?

I am so sorry for your losses, but you have just proved to yourself what I have said for years. Someone that has died, and crossed over (went to the light) can hear and help us. All you have to do is ask.

There is no doubt that your friend did help your brother in his last days. She probably helped him cross over also. That is what friends do, they help whether they are alive or dead.

Make sure that you thank her. I am sure she will hear that also.

Hi Mary Ann,

I lost my husband almost two and half years ago. I am so sad since he died and it is very hard for me to stop thinking of him and moving on with my life. He was very sick and he passed away in my living room. My question is, how do I know if my husband crossed over? At first I felt his presence but as time passes, I feel it less. I stand in the spot that his bed was and beg him to give me a sign that he is still with me. Sometimes I feel he gives me signs but am I just hoping he does or can he really send me signs or even be in the room he passed away in? I know this is wrong but I always ask him to please come back to me. Melinda and Jim on Ghost Whisperer got a second chance at love. Do you believe people can come back for second chances?

I feel really bad for you. Please remember I believe that no one dies before their time. You say that he was very sick and that he did die at home, which was nice.

If you or anyone has had a dream of your husband that tells me that he is where he is supposed to be. It is almost impossible for an earthbound spirit to get into a dream.

Once a person has crossed over they come back and forth all the time. He will visit on anniversaries, Christmas, birthdays, he will not miss weddings or any type of family gatherings. On days that you think of him a lot that is most likely when you will feel his presence because he has come back for a visit.

Please remember Ghost Whisper is entertainment, and while there is tons of accurate information, each week there is also a lot of “Hollywood” based information.

Yes, people come back. I believe in reincarnation, so you will most likely be with your husband again in another life.
