Mary Ann Responds to Two Similar Letters…

Hi Mary Ann,

First of all, the show is a great insight to the paranormal… my name is Zoltan and I am from Canada.  I’ve always been very interested in the unknown and knowing how it all works, but getting to the ultimate truth is quite hard, especially since we are so limited to the grand knowledge of things and [there is] so much misinformation / beliefs that exist on these topics.  I only had one out of body experience while being asleep so I know the spirit world exists, not to mention with my family there is plenty of ghost stories to go around with visible sightings to dreams, etc.  Now my question to you is this… I know you say a soul has 24-78 hours after their funeral to cross over to the light until it closes but where I’m confused is…is this permanent or until that soul is finally at peace and ready to move on? It would be kinda scary to think you are ready to go to the other side and the light never come back for you.  In Ghost Whisperer, the light appears when that soul has found peace. I guess I need a bit more understanding how the light works. 

Finally for people who have Alzheimer’s, I know physically all memories are permanently gone, I assume its right to say the soul retains all memories on the astral body, correct?

I have read Mary Ann’s book. I found it truly fascinating! My question is what happens to people who are severely mentally challenged— Maybe from birth or someone who suffers at the end of their life with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or brain damaged from an accident, etc. When they leave their body and before they cross over, are they sound of mind?

These two questions are very similar, so I have answered them together.

I am so happy that you have gotten helpful information from Ghost Whisperer. It is nice to know that the show is both entertaining and informative.

You are right there is so much about the paranormal. No one person knows everything. Not one single day goes by that I do not learn something new.

When people die their spirit has 24 to 72 hours after the last memorial service to go into the light. For those who choose not to go into the light, they are now stuck. They are earthbound spirits. These are the kind of spirits that I can see, communicate with, and help cross over.

There are several ways an earthbound spirit can find the light, such as going to a funeral home that has a service going on and use the white light that is there. The white light is not an individual thing. It is universal. It is there for anyone.

Or find someone like me who can create the white light and release them.

Of course once a spirit has crossed over they can come back and forth. They will not cause the living any problems.

When a person dies, the body is what is diseased or broken; the spirit is always whole. Spirits are never bloody, gory, or missing limbs.

However people who have Alzheimer ’s disease, dementia, or are mentally impaired have help crossing over. A loved one who has crossed over, or a guardian angel will come and help them to cross over.

Hi Mary Ann,

My name is Derek and I’m from England. A strange thing happened a few year’s ago firstly when my son would go to bed at night. He was about 4 year’s old at the time and he’d ask the next morning why is there bell’s ringing in my room. Well me and his mother thought he was making it up or something, Anyway he kept on saying about these bell’s ringing in his room we didn’t believe him, but one night while we were in bed we both heard them. They seemed to be coming out of the joining wall of my son’s room. They were very soft tiny sounding, they got louder for a few second’s then seem to disappear into the wall again getting further and further away. Well, my wife and I couldn’t believe our ears. Have you ever heard of anything like that before?

Also, many year’s ago I was a musician and at the time I was playing in dance band at an US airbase in the UK. It was in the late 70’s. We’d just played a set and I had to visit the men’s room. It was a very hot sticky night but when I went in it was really quite cold in there, but I didn’t mind, it felt good to get out of the heat. I went to one of the stalls and out of the corner of my eye I saw something move.  I swung my head round only to see a very tall American pilot stood there but he was wearing the full leather gear they used to wear in the war. So I just said, “hello” to him and he just said to me, “you ok fella?” To which I replied, “yes thanks.” I looked round again and he’d gone just vanished in a couple of seconds. I asked the doorman outside where’s the pilot in all the World War II leather gear gone (you must have seen him go past you) but the doorman told me I was he only one to go in or out of there.  Recently, I found out later the same pilot had been seen many times in that same toilet. He always appeared when someone was in there alone. My question to you is I’ve never heard of a ghost speaking back to a person like that pilot ghost spoke back to me. Have you ever heard of that sort of thing before?

Hello Derek,

You have shown a very good reason why parents need to listen to their children. Children are so innocent, they have the ability to see and hear angels, spirit guides, guardian angels, spirits that have crossed over, and ones that have not.

Think about this for a moment. Do you or your wife have a deceased relative that had a bell collection, played the bells, or just liked bells? If this is so, they were just visiting, and the bells are not threatening, it just peaked your son’s curiosity.

The ghost pilot is interesting, hanging out in a dance hall, or a bar is not unusual. Earthbound spirits do not eat or sleep, they rely on human energy to keep going. A dance hall or a bar would be a perfect location, lots of people there having fun, generating a lot of high energy.

Why he shows up in the men’s bathroom is a bit unusual. Maybe he feels that he can get someone’s attention easier in there, because it is more private.

Just a guess.
